So, I'm getting a Saturn, right?
I need to put modular, changeable signage on it.
...Remember that these are Saturn panels...so, um, haalp.
I'm thinking of putting rare earth magnets on the other side of the panels in question, but I'm not sure how well that will work.
Also I'm sick with a cold and having to make my big pitch with a massive headache and I go into work in a few hours cheer me up. x_x

3M is the answer! http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/…

My problem with Vinyl is that I need to change phone numbers depending on which area I'll be in, and that is going to get super messy super fast.

That won't come off going down the road?

Why not have multiple numbers listed on one sign?

you under estimate 3m...

We used it pretty exclusively to hold our carbon fiber body panels, among other things, onto our FSAE car. The only problems were temperature related... in our winter cold (-20°F) the adhesives got brittle and quit sticking, and they tended to melt in Nebraska heat (100°F) and turn to runny goop. The black vinyl-covered headrest was a particularly problematic area, and we wound up sewing the velcro to it.
Velcro is pretty powerful in shear (try sticking it together and then sliding it around... doesn't work) so you might be able to make it work if you've just got flat signage on body panels (and not a pizza delivery sign on the roof). If you're just cruising around the city at <30mph, I can't see it being a problem. Highway travel is a different story.
Duct tape is always an option... there's a reason it's referred to as "100mph tape". Transparent packing tape is often stickier and can be less ugly.
Something else to consider, not all Saturns had plastic panels. They stopped using them around 2005 or so. Which Saturn are you getting?

Good choice! But yeah, you've got the plastic panels.
Magnetic decals may not work with rare-earth magnets, I'm thinking. The decals are effectively large fridge magnets, right? The magnetic load would be very widely distributed, vs a bunch of points with the rare-earth. This might lead to the decals getting air trapped under them and blowing off. That's not to say it absolutely won't work, though,
Velcro may look goofy with the decals pushed up away from the vehicle... but it likely would mostly work.
There are also double-sided adhesives and things for sticking badges and things to exterior vehicle surfaces. I've stuck rubber ducks on a few cars with a 3M "molding adhesive", basically a foam double-sided tape, and they've stuck on at highway speeds, in the rain, over winter, in the summer heat, you name it. They also peel off reasonably well without leaving much residue, but it takes a healthy tug.

This will be frequent changing, though. That's the problem. Driving a county over and staying the weekend means switching phone numbers on the vehicle.
